After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of British Columbia, Laurel Zvaigzne completed her internship placement in Kelowna, BC. She then returned to her hometown of Calgary to start her career as a Registered Dietitian specializing in diabetes care. Laurel became a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2015 and has very much enjoyed working with her patients to optimize their diabetes control and help provide them with tools to independently manage on their own. She is committed to professional growth and is always open for feedback from her patients and fellow professionals. She continues to be a member of the College of Dietitians of Alberta and is often attending educational events to further her knowledge of diabetes care.

Outside of the clinic setting Laurel will often be found in her kitchen trying out new recipes or getting outside for a run with her dogs.
