C-health Manager of Endocrinology, Research and Innovation
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Alberta, Elyse Morton completed an 11-month internship in Calgary that saw her become a registered dietitian through the College of Dietitians of Alberta. Beginning her career in the area of endocrinology and clinical research over 9 years ago, Elyse soon realized the significant impact she could have beyond her current role as a dietitian, diabetes educator, and research coordinator, within the health system.
Passionate about endocrinology, leadership, and utilizing research and innovation to improve access to quality specialist care services and health outcomes, Elyse soon moved into her current role as the Manager of Endocrinology, Research and Innovation for the C-health Organization. With a lifelong commitment to enhancing her ability to be an effective leader in health care, Elyse continues with her education in master level courses in the areas of leadership and business administration.
The C-health Organization is now the largest community endocrinology care provider in Alberta and one of the largest providers of cardiovascular care in Calgary. Today, the C-health research program has participated in more than 20 clinical trials and recognized for its experienced research team, commitment to practicing within high standard operating procedures, and for strong communication and organizational practices. C-endo Clinic hosts a diverse team of medical specialists, including endocrinologists, general internal medicine specialists, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and experienced diabetes educators, all working effectively together to offer individualized, comprehensive and integrated care to each and every patient. Elyse has been an integral part of the development and growth of both the C-health Research Program and the C-endo Clinic division.
She is proud of the level of care that the entire C-endo team provides to their patients each day and believes that it is completely one-of-a-kind!
